The FLAT TEC HYBRID from Waldmann is the innovative lighting solution for machining centers with very limited space for adapting luminaires in the machine compartment. Two lighting technologies in one housing For one, a highly efficient fluorescent lamp for the extensive illumination of the machine compartment. Secondly, two LEDs for the pinpoint illumination of the machining area. Both types of light – in keeping with the specific need for light – can be switched together and separately. Symmetrical and asymmetrical radiation The fluorescent lamp ensures the uniform basic illumination of the machine compartment. The 3D conic prismatic screen developed by Waldmann not only supports symmetrical light distribution, but also ensures optimal diffusion – an important added safety feature for the operating staff. The light of the two LEDs is angled by special optics and focused onto the machining area. Machine lighting made to measure The adaptation of the FLAT TEC HYBRID can be tailored to the spatial conditions. Depending on the requirements, the luminaire is available with different LED radiation angles – 30º, 15º, and 6º. Therefore it does not necessarily have to be mounted in the vicinity of the machining surface, but can also be installed above or beneath. Pinpoint illumination is possible from almost every angle. FLAT TEC HYBRID. Optimized effectiveness and efficiency. The FLAT TEC HYBRID is TWIN-C in its most compact form. Nearly all lighting requirements inside the machine compartment are covered with a single luminaire. In addition, fewer components require less installation and maintenance effort. The LEDs. 50,000 hours of purest efficiency The FLAT TEC HYBRID is equipped with two maintenance-free, extremely long-lasting high-performance LEDs with 6 watts each. With the LED technology, the light is not produced by a filament, but electronically. As a result, there is no risk of breakage due to percussions, vibration or frequent switching on and off. The LED heat is not released into the engine compartment, but is effectively dissipated toward the back by way of the circuit board and the aluminum housing. The T16 fluorescent lamp: high efficiency, low power consumption The FLAT TEC HYBRID uses the most efficient light tube type available at the present time: a 24-watt T16 lamp measuring only 16 mm in diameter. Compared to conventional 26 mm lamps, it produces considerably higher luminous flux. The result: Greater efficiency, lower energy consumption, and therefore of course lower CO2 emissions.
